There is generally some sensation felt when the needle and the acupuncture point merge, however it feels nothing like an injection.
How many treatments will be necessary?
The frequency of treatments varies. Acute symptoms may respond with just a few treatments and chronic conditions may require treatments once a week or a few visits a month.
Does health insurance cover acupuncture?
Acupuncture treatments can be used for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) reimbursement or Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Health Insurance for acupuncture is complicated in the state of Michigan due to our states non-regulatory licensing requirements. Your insurance representative or HR department can determine if your policy has coverage for acupuncture care. A detailed receipt with ICD 10 codes, and CPT units will be provided for all treatments.
